AN INQUEST has been opened into a man who died after being found unconscious on a Kidderminster road.

Worcestershire Coroners opened the hearing into 22-year-old Jason Westcott, who died on November 15.

He was discovered unconscious in the road on the A451 Ringway in Kidderminster just after 5am on Sunday.

Jason, who was originally from Weston-Super-Mare, was taken to hospital with head and abdominal injuries but later died.

A 42-year-old man from Stourbridge was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed until January next year pending further inquiries.

The inquest was adjourned until a later date.
