TWO people were taken to hospital after a crash between two cars in Cleobury Mortimer.

Emergency services crews were called to the crash on the B4201 at around 10.50am on Sunday (February 7).

A spokesman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Two ambulance crews, a paramedic area support officer in a rapid response vehicle and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended.

“Two people with back injuries were taken in land ambulances to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.”

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue crews from Bewdley and Cleobury Mortimer assisted Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service with the release of one casualty from a vehicle.

A spokesman from HWFRS said: "We were called to assist Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service at the crash at Wyre Common, Cleobury Mortimer.

"One fire engine from Bewdley fire station attended the scene. The crash involved two vehicles and had two casualties.

"One casualty was released by fire service personnel and left with the ambulance service."
