A DEDICATED Kidderminster marathon man has completed another 26-miler to help raise money for charity.
Keith Kane, aged 53, crossed the finish line in the London Marathon, held on Sunday (April 24) in an impressive three hours and 19 minutes.
His time means he has earned his place at next year’s event. This year, he decided to raise cash for Marie Curie and has so far collected more than a £1,000.
Mr Kane has previously run 12 marathons with this being his fifth in London. He has previously raised money for the town’s Kemp Hospice, Kidderminster League of Friends and the Children with Cancer charity.
He said: “I completed the course in three hours 19 minutes so again securing my place for next year’s London marathon under the "good for age" criteria.
“I have raised thousands for charities over the years through running and as soon as I dust my running shoes off I will be back training ready for my next marathon.”
People can still sponsor Keith by visiting his page at https://www.justgiving.com/Keith-Kane3/ or by giving £3 by text, if they text KKLM54 £3 to 70070.
