THE return of Cookley’s popular beer festival seems sure to offer up a cocktail of amazing ales and top entertainment.

The event, which will run between Saturday (May 28) and Monday (May 30), at Cookley Sports Fields, in Lea Lane, promises to showcase an extensive collection of beer and cider.

The festival will feature 45 ales, 28 ciders plus a Pimms and Prosecco bar alongside a Belgium beer bar.

There will also be food and fun fair at the event and a line-up of live music to make sure the party has a stand-out soundtrack,

Rockers The Notorious Brothers, The AC30s, Wild Clover, The Hometown Tourists and The Indiependants will all be on stage during the festival.

Singer Sadie Owen will be performing what organisers call 'Scrumpy and Western' while the Brasswurst Bavarian Brass band will provide a sing-a-long with a continental flavour.

The festival will be raising funds for two charities, Headway Worcestershire which helps people who have suffered from a brain injury and Children with Cancer UK who are the leading national children’s charity dedicated to fight childhood cancer.

Entry is free and vouchers for drinks are available in advance from Cookley Sports Club.
