TWO car crashes have caused chaos during rush hour traffic near to Kidderminster.

Emergency services crews have been called to both incidents just after 9am this morning (June 21).

The first incident took place between a grey Rover and a motorbike near to the Stone Manor Hotel, in Stone. 

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called just after 9am to reports of a crash between a car and a motorbike.

"We sent an ambulance and a community paramedic to the scene. 

"We assessed the motorcyclist at the scene. They were walking wounded and refused hospital treatment."

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident reference number 129S of June 21.

The second incident took place between two cars - a red Skoda and a blue Peugeot - in Worcester Road, near to the Hare and Hounds pub.

The spokesman for WMAS said: "We were called to a two-car road traffic crash just after 9am.

"We sent two ambulances to the scene and an off duty member of staff stopped at the scene to help. 

"There was three patients - two with minor injuries. One man was assessed by paramedics and was taken to the Alex Hospital, in Redditch, with chest injuries.

"The second ambulance was also conveyed to the Alex Hospital. A man and a woman were in the second car."

A spokesman from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service added: "We were called at around 9.20am by the ambulance service to reports of a 2 car crash.

"One male casualty was released upon arrival. One female casualty was being assessed by paramedics.

"One male was taken to hospital. Both vehicles were made safe by the fire crews."

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident reference number 261S of June 21.

A spokesman from West Mercia Police said: "Both incidents were reported to us at around 9.10am this morning and had led to congestion and temporary road closures on the A450 and the Spennels Valley Island.

"Fire and ambulance also attended but there are no reports of serious injury at this time."

Both incidents were concluded by 11.50am and vehicles recovered from the road.
