KIND performers from a Kidderminster drama school will be hitting the stage next week to raise money for a church.

Students of Apparicio Theatre School have been busy learning their lines and rehearsing ahead of the drama evening to be held at St Barnabas Church, in Franche, Kidderminster on Tuesday, June 28.

Tickets cost £3.50 and all money raised from sales, as well as from a raffle being held on the night, will go to the church fund.

Younger members of the school will perform monologues while senior children will take part in a play they have written themselves.

Angela Apparicio, who runs the school, said: “The children have worked very hard on this and are really looking forward to it.

“They are really excited to be part of such a good cause as they understand the value of having a local church which gives so much wonderful support to the community.”

She added that the school welcomes children from all walks of life including those with varying disabilities.

She said: “It is my mission get as many children, thinking positive thoughts about themselves through drama workshops, meditation and confidence building skills, skills which will last them a lifetime.

“So many children are suffering with lack of self-esteem and low confidence and it really doesn’t have to be this way.”
