RESIDENTS will have the last chance to work with an international artist as part of a unique project at Bewdley Museum.

‘One Grain’ is the research programme that has involved the town community throughout the month of July.

Since it was launched at the start of the month, people have come forward with loans and donations that are on display in the museum, while others have followed up areas of research.

The project was named ‘One Grain’ after a tiny brass weight and International artist Joshua Sofaer is leading it until it finishes this weekend.

People are being to pop along and get involved and follow their own hunches. Discoveries so far have included a small brass button found in the Museum foundry floorboards leading to a connection to Charles Dickens.

Joshua, who will move on to a new project in Norway after this, is also after family members of anyone with an association with H.J. Exley, who operated the Bewdley Brass Foundry from 1923 until it closed in 1964.

Anyone who can help is asked to contact the museum on 07748 613974 or info@bewdleymuseum.org

The museum is open every day from 10am to 4.30pm and an exhibition on One Grain will follow and be on view in The Brass Foundry.
