A HAIR salon which has been in Bewdley for more than 40 years has relaunched under a new name.
Salon 4, in Load Street, relaunched this month after Sally Atkinson took over the reins from her mother, Sonia, who is retiring.
The salon was reopened with the help of Bewdley Mayor, Councillor John Beeson.
Sally said: “We have been here in Bewdley for more than 45 years. For me, it is very exciting.
“I have always been involved over the years and it has always been in my background.
“It is now time for me to take over the longest and oldest running salon in Bewdley. Our customers have been very loyal over the years.
“It’s hard to start up a business in Bewdley at the moment. But it is important to keep Bewdley thriving.
“It has been a difficult couple of years for the town but I am looking forward to change.
“I hope to carry on my family’s legacy.”
Sonia added: “I have been looking forward to handing over the reins to my daughter for some time.
“I am looking forward to retiring, but I will still be involved with the salon.”
