VISITORS to Stourport will experience what goes bump in the night in the town through Halloween tours this weekend.
Spirit of Stourport Ghost Tours will start at the Tontine Stable on Severnside, at the canal basins from 6pm on Sunday, October 30 and Monday, October 31.
An expert guide will lead folk on a trail in and out of the basin’s historic buildings and a walk from the riverside to the graveyard, which will twice pass through the town’s ‘Haunted Quarter Mile’.
People will also get to hear a host of scary tales and find out about the town’s ‘Barber’s Chair’ and ghostly First World War sergeant.
Tickets for the tour – which is recommended for adults and children aged over 12 – cost £8 and include a drink at the end of the walk.
Pre-booking is essential and people can do so by calling Tim Ellis on 07967 311946 or Eliza Botham on 07850 784895 to reserve a place.
