PARENTS recently went 'back to school' with their children at Heronswood Primary School.

Parents of children in years one to four were invited to the school to see which different types of activities their children participate in on a daily basis.

The children were able to show off their classroom environments and parents were able to spend time learning about their child's day and the different learning styles.

Headteacher, Rhoda Pierpoint, said: "Due to changes in the national curriculum, it is so important that we keep our parents and carers up to date with what happens in our classrooms.

"Learning is at the heart of everything our teachers do and we want to share this love for learning with our families.

"We were delighted by the number of parents and grandparents who took time out of their busy schedules to come along and be with their children in the classrooms."
