A BURST water pipe is causing supply issues for residents in Bewdley.

Severn Trent Water are out repairing a burst water pipe in Heightington Road, in Bewdley, this morning (March 22).

The teams have warned that this may be causing water supplies to be off or at low pressure for some customers.

The road is currently closed while the teams work to repair the burst pipe.

It is expected to be fixed by later this afternoon.

A spokesman from Severn Trent said: "Our teams are out on site now and will work around the clock to get this pipe fixed and everything back to normal as quickly as possible.

"We know how difficult it is to have no water, especially at this time of day when you’re trying to get ready for work and school, and we are sorry for the inconvenience this may be causing.

"We would like to reassure our customers that we are doing everything we can to get the water supplies back on as soon as we can.

"As the burst pipe is in the middle of the road, unfortunately we do need to close the road to allow our teams to work safely and to keep road users safely away from the work area.

"We aim to have the pipe fixed and the road back to normal by this afternoon.

"Again we would like to apologise for any disruption this may cause."
