RESIDENTS are invited to a new session at Kidderminster Library that will help them develop their basic computer skills.

The Go On Wyre Forest sessions aim to support people who want to develop their IT skills.

The session is being run by Worcestershire County Council and Go On Worcestershire - a group of partners working together to bring the benefits of the internet to every individual, organisation and community across the county.

The new sessions will take place on Mondays at Kidderminster Library between 2.30pm and 3.30pm. The sessions are free and there is no need to book a place.

Holly Ferris, team leader and digital connector, said: "We are really excited about this partnership with Go On Worcestershire to reduce digital exclusion.

"Come along to our sessions on Mondays at Kidderminster Library for free help and learn to find your way around a computer, email and stay in touch with friends.

"There will also be information about buying affordable equipment and getting online at home."

She added: "If you would like to help others learn about IT there are also volunteering opportunities available, so please come along and feel free to enquire about these."
