FIRE crews from the town's station have had a busy day, being called out to four separate incidents.

Firefighters were called to extinguish a derelict building fire in Zortech Avenue, at about 7am this morning.

They were called to a house fire in Nash Close just after 8am.

The incident involved burnt food on hob, and the property had to be ventilated.

At around 11am crews were called to a building fire in New Road.

They extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and CO2 extinguisher.

If that wasn't enough for one day, firefighters had to put out 10sqm of tree scrub on Truro Drive.

That incident, which also saw police attend, took place around 6pm.
