VISITORS and residents can immerse themselves in the sounds, aromas and flavours of an international market in Kidderminster next month.

The event will take place between over the weekend of November 3, and November 5, where you can head to Exchange Place, Vicar Street and High Street to sample tastes and treats from all across the globe with traders offering their native foods and products.

You can sample street food including German sausage and Spanish paella, and enjoy the look and feel of Italian designer textiles to Indonesian wood carvings.

Councillor Ian Hardiman, Wyre Forest District Council's cabinet member for planning and economic regeneration, said: "We encourage residents and visitors to experience the continental atmosphere and make the most of this special market event.

"This will be a golden opportunity to show off Kidderminster's recent improvements in the public spaces and we aim to stage additional special market events throughout the year, beside our established weekly markets."

Councillor Helen Dyke, Wyre Forest District Council's member champion for town centres, added: "We are looking forward to this special market event.

"Feedback from our consultation about markets said that residents would welcome themed markets as part of the transformation of the town centre.

"Make sure you get the dates in your diary and build an 'international' visit into your weekend."

The international market event - organised by Wyre Forest District Council with International Food and Gift Markets - will be in Kidderminster town centre from 10am on Friday, November 3, until 4pm on Sunday, November 5.
