A WORCESTERSHIRE artist is showcasing her work in her third solo exhibition at Kidderminster Library this month.

Kidderminster Art Society committee member Karen Hotchkiss' exhibition runs at the town's library until October 28.

Karen has been painting since she was a teenager, but has only recently become a freelance artist. She now teaches and has a studio in Stoke Prior and until recently, ran a pop-up gallery in Droitwich.

She specialises in watercolour painting, but also works with acrylics and inks.

Karen said: "I think watercolour lends itself perfectly to capturing the ever-changing colours of the landscape and yet is versatile enough to paint dark night skies or brightly coloured still life."

Karen will also be demonstrating her work at the library on October 21, and October 28, between 2pm and 4pm.
