AN ambitious Wyre Forest performing arts group will be getting their heads in the game with students staging a musical production with only a day’s worth of rehearsal.

Students from Talking Props Performing Arts will perform High School Music at their studios to the public on June 30 at 8pm, following a ten-hour rehearsal session counting down from 10am the same morning.

Participating students are being sponsored for the rehearsal with money raised funding the studios’ production of the classic West End musical Les Misérables which will be staged at the Stourport Civic from July 17 to 21.

High School Musical was the first show Talking Props performed back in 2015 and have since brought productions of Happy Days and Legally Blonde to Wyre Forest audiences.

Talking Props Principal and London theatre producer Michael Neri said: “I am so thrilled to be bringing another new show to Wyre Forest, this year is our biggest show yet, so we have decided to raise some extra funds with our sponsored staging to cover the cost of the enormous band this show requires, everything we raise will go directly into staging Les Miserable and we cannot wait to premier this to our Wyre Forest audience.

“The show is so demanding, but our students as always handle it with poise, class and exceptional talent.”

“I adore producing but nothing gives me more pleasure than showcasing homegrown talent right here, no matter how busy I get, one things for sure, I always produce and direct our Talking Props productions.”

Tickets for Les Misérables are now available through the Civic and via the Talking Props site talkingprops.co.uk.
