Church hosting Christmas lunch for people who would be alone

A CHRISTMAS day lunch will be held at a Kidderminster church for people who will be spending the day alone.

A traditional Christmas turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be served at Trinity Methodist Church from 1pm.

The meal will be followed by Christmas pudding and custard and a vegetarian option will also be available.

Rev Mary Austin said: “This is something we do each year and many people who would otherwise be spending Christmas alone are able to enjoy Christmas dinner and some entertainment in the company of others.”

She added that transport would also be available for people who could not get to the church.
