A POLICE appeal to trace a wanted former Kidderminster man has resulted in his arrest and conviction.

Thomas Loveridge, 21 who had moved to Fitzwilliam Close, Worcester, was wanted under an arrest warrant from Worcester Crown Court after failing to appear on January 20.

The hearing related to charges of one count of burglary and one count of theft from a store, both in Kidderminster.

On Sunday, April 1 he handed himself in at Worcester Police Station where he was arrested for failing to surrender at crown court. He was charged with this offence as well as the burglary of a property in Rushwick near Worcester that occurred between March 12 and 17 where electrical goods, cash and an air rifle were stolen.

He appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court yesterday and was sentenced to 21 days in prison for breaching the court order and remanded into custody until he appears in court in relation to the burglary charge.
