Businesswomen set for an evening of fund-raising

A NETWORK of Wyre Forest businesswomen are pulling together to promote local commerce and raise funds for charity.

Ladies from the Wyre Forest Women In Business Group - the only all-women networking group in the district - will be showcasing their products and services during an exhibition at Wharton Park Golf Club on Thursday.

The event starts at 7pm and all money raised during the evening’s raffle will be donated to Kemp Hospice. There will also be a fashion show and free make-up demonstrations.

Jo Beacham, chairman of group, said: “The event has been organised not only to encourage people to support local businesses, but to help Kemp Hospice continue the amazing care they give to hundreds of people every year. It promises to be a great, fun evening for fashion and beauty tips and for browsing the range of different stalls on offer.

“I hope the event will give local firms a unique platform to showcase themselves, boost the local economy and importantly, raise as much money as possible for Kemp Hospice.”

Ms Beacham also praised the owners of Wharton Park Golf Club for hosting the exhibition for free.
