TWO brothers were attacked by the same man during a night out at a Kidderminster pub, Worcester Crown Court was told.
Ricky Stokes was felled to the ground by a single punch as he went between bars at the Radcliffe Arms. The same happened to his brother Luke a few seconds later.
Their assailant was 21-year-old Ian Moorhouse, who was threatening to hand out more violence on February 17, said prosecutor Nicholas Smith.
Moorhouse, of Victoria Place, Foley Park, Kidderminster, pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm and assault by beating. He was jailed for eight months.
Mr Smith said Ricky Stokes was taken to hospital because he had hit his head on the ground and been knocked unconscious. He was discharged after the CT scan had read wrongly but was recalled when it was realised he had bleeding on the brain.
Moorhouse had been brought up in a deprived area of Walsall and had a series of previous convictions, said Fergus Maxwell, defending. He expressed regret for his actions and hoped there would be no long-term effect from the injuries.
Moorhouse had been easily led and had hit out because there had been "history" between the families.
