WOLVERLEY Memorial Hall hosted a fun-packed day to mark its 50th anniversary.

The facility was created in 1962 with money left over from a village fund-raising effort to support soldiers returning from the Second World War.

Today the hall is the focal point of the village and is used by many local groups including martial arts, playgroup and the WI.

It is run by a small group of volunteers who work hard organising many fund-raising events to maintain the facility.

The anniversary fun day included demonstrations by local groups, Flip the Clown, The Animal Man, morris dancing and maypole dancing from pupils of Wolverley Sebright School.

The following day there was a service at Wolverley Church where there were historical photos and displays from Wolverley WI.
