Farmers market at Shrawley Village Hall

A FARMERS market will be at Shrawley Village Hall next Saturday.

The event, which takes place on the second Saturday of each month, will be from 10am until 12.30pm.

Organiser Anna Dorrell said: “We had hundreds of people through the doors last month and raised over £150 for various charities including the Midlands Air Ambulance.

“We have lots of stalls from locally-produced meat to cakes, pies, honey, eggs and bread. We have Top Barn Harvest shop with their award-winning pies and cheeses. We also have lots of wonderful craft and clothing.”

She added: “The idea of the market is three-fold. One, to help local producers to promote themselves, two is to pull the local community together by offering somewhere for the people to meet and do their shopping have a cuppa and a natter with old friends and three to raise some money for charity.”

A coffee morning will run alongside the market to raise money for local charities.

Children will be running a sweet stall with profits going to the Midlands Air Ambulance.
