STAFF at Baxter College in Kidderminster have donated educational equipment to a school in Sierra Leone.

Home economics teacher Caroline Hobbs, who organised the collection said: “We had a brilliant response and are donating items such as tvs, computer monitors, paper, microscopes, football shirts, gym kit, books, language tapes, cassette players and stationary.

Lay preacher Margaret Mandrell of Worcester collected the equipment to be shipped out to the Waterloo School she has visited. She gave an assembly last Wednesday, to Baxter’s year 9 students who heard about the school and the challenges its children face.
