Kidderminster drug dealer ordered to hand over £30k

A KIDDERMINSTER drug dealer has been ordered to hand over £30,000 by a judge at Worcester Crown Court .

Oliver Bartlett, 28, of Hay Close, off Marlpool Lane , was convicted of possession of cocaine with intent to supply and given a 12-month suspended jail sentence.

When there was an application for confiscation under the Proceeds of Crime Act, prosecutor Alex Warren said it had been calculated that Bartlett's financial benefit was £31,738. With the equity of his house, the available amount was £30,000 and he sought time to pay.

Judge Robert Juckes QC said the full amount must be paid by March 8 or there would be 15 months jail in default.
