Charity secures funding deal

A WYRE Forest children’s charity has secured a five-year funding deal.

Mentor Link will use the cash from the Big Lottery Fund to continue its mentoring work at schools in the district.

Andrea Maddocks, who founded the charity, said: “I am really delighted that the Big Lottery Fund has decided to provide further support to Mentor Link and the young people that we help.

“We look forward to supporting more young people thanks to the new funds. I would like to say a big thank you to our staff, volunteers and trustees who all give their time to make a positive difference to them.”
