Parents urged to apply for next year's secondary school places for children
3:20pm Monday 17th September 2012 in Local
WYRE Forest parents and carers are being urged to apply as soon as they can to ensure they gain a secondary school place for their child for the September, 2013 intake.
All secondary school applications to Worcestershire County Council need to be made by October 31 this year (2012) for children starting secondary school in September, 2013.
With just over a month to go, the county council says quickest and easiest way to apply for secondary school places is online.
It has recently updated its school admissions website with the aim of making it quicker for parents and carers to apply online.
Wendy Brown, the county council's pupil admissions and transfers team manager, said: "The online process is not only speedier but also available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so parents can apply at their leisure [before the closing date].
“An acknowledgement email is sent and 'school place offers' are emailed to applications."
