iPhone maps blunder turns back the clock on Wyre Forest

TECHNOLOGY giant Apple appears to be taking on the regeneration of Wyre Forest’s town centres, bringing back old favourites Woolworths and Littlewoods to the district.
iPhone users upgrading to the smartphone’s latest software, iOS 6, are being forced to switch from Google maps to Apple’s own maps application however users across the country have reported problems with its accuracy.
Shuttle readers on facebook and twitter have spotted old businesses, such as Woolworths and the Old Anchor Inn in Stourport and Top Man and Littlewoods in Kidderminster in their application.
The map also places Cleobury Mortimer Post Office on Kidderminster’s Worcester Street and finds "Kidderminster General Hospital", downgraded 12 years ago to Kidderminster Hospital .
Readers leaving Kidderminster to reach the M5 and Birmingham have reported having to travel through “Dudley”, instead of Hagley.
In a statement Apple said it was “just getting started” with the new map service and “the more people use it, the better it will get”.

Has anyone on the respective towns councils been approached by Apple suggesting they update their records to reflect Apple's stance?
