A TEENAGE singing sensation from Bewdley performed at a British-themed charity tea party in Birmingham which helped to raise more than £1,000.
Lauren Alexandra, 15, entertained 80 guests after cocktails and tea at the event held for Heart Research UK.
The Bewdley School and Sixth Form Centre student has performed at two events for the charity is also a finalist at the Open Mic UK regional finals taking place on Saturday, October 6 in Birmingham.
The tea party raised £1,200 for Heart Research UK’s Helping Little Hearts campaign which supports children born with heart problems.
The event was organised alongside Ethan's Gift, an organisation set up in memory of Ethan Marshall, of Birmingham, who died aged three from a congenital heart defect.
Andrew Marshall, founder of Ethan's Gift, said: "We are raising awareness of congenital heart defects and raising funds for projects at Birmingham Children's Hospital in memory of our son Ethan.
"Working alongside Heart Research UK enables us to bring our message to a wider audience and to see our fundraising supporting bigger projects”.
