Grandmother's jewellery stolen during Kidderminster burglary

JEWELLERY which belonged to a burglary victim’s late grandmother has been stolen from a home in Kidderminster.

The incident happened between 10am and 7pm Friday, October 5, at a home off Wilden Lane near Hoobrook.

Thieves broke into the house and made an untidy search before stealing a Cameo on a gold neck chain, a gold engagement ring with five diamonds and a gold charm and chain.

Det Con Lloyd Davies from Kidderminster CID said: “This jewellery obviously has sentimental value to the victim and we hope someone may know who took it or may have seen it for sale.

“We would like to hear from anyone who remember seeing any suspicious activity in the Hoobrook area on Friday, particularly any vehicles parked in unusual circumstances.

“If anyone is offered items of jewellery for sale similar to those stolen and they are unsure of their origin we would ask them to call us as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information about the burglary should contact Det Con Davies on 101, quoting incident 649-S-051012, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
