Trainee Paige blown away by winning prize

A KIDDERMINSTER salon worker blew away judges in a hairdresssing contest.
Paige Gainham, a trainee at Lisa Shepherd Salon, brushed away stiff competition to scoop runner up in the first year blow dry competition at an employers event at Wolverhampton College. The event is held for NVQ students already in employment at local salons.
Paige said: “I was very nervous but I loved taking part in the competition. It’s really inspired me to push myself in my career.
“Being able to do a blow dry is such a classic skill and when done well, it can look so glamorous. I was really happy with the look on the night.
