THIEVES broke into a Kidderminster house in broad daylight and stole a 42-inch flat screen TV, a laptop and silver and gold jewellery.

They also took a crystal decanter, six glass tumblers and several bottles of Champagne after making an untidy search of the house in Sutton Park Road on Tuesday last week.

Detective Constable Lloyd Davies from Kidderminster CID said: "Sutton Park Road is quite a busy road so we are hoping that someone may have seen the burglars in the area, particularly as it happened during daylight hours.

"As they stole a rather large TV the thieves would probably have needed a car or van to take it away in so we would also like to hear from anyone who remembers seeing any vehicles parked in unusual circumstances."

Witnesses to the burglary, which happened between 8am and 5pm should contact Det Con Davies on the 101, quoting incident 503-S-091012, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
