The 4th annual “Bewdley Open Studios” will take place over the weekend of 26th/27th June, 2010.

This is sponsored by The Friends of Bewdley Museum. Exhibitors will show their work in Bewdley in their studios, their homes or at some other venue. We do have a limited number of places at central venues including the Museum. If you would like to reserve one of these, please contact me (see below).

As previously, we shall produce high quality publicity material including an invitation card, and registration will entitle participants to as many cards as they require for their “mailing lists”. The Museum will act as a hub over the weekend. The event will be trailed in the local press and broadcast media.

In conjunction with the weekend, the Friends of Bewdley Museum will be sponsoring an exhibition of art by participants in Bewdley Open Studios. This will be held in the Wyre Forest Gallery of the Museum and will run from 19th of June to 4th July. It should provide useful publicity and a further opportunity to sell work.

To cover costs we ask for a registration fee of £20. In the hope of contributing to funds of the Friends of Bewdley Museum we take a 10% commission on sales. However, this year, for those artists who show in a venue not provided by us, commission will be only 5% to help promote the “open studio” idea for local artists.

We are confident that this summer weekend will be enjoyable for artists and visitors and that it will have benefits for Bewdley itself.
