KEMP Hospice is offering midnight walkers the opportunity to raise funds directly for its children’s appeal.

The Midnight Walk raised more than £28,000 last year which went towards helping patients cope with a life-limiting illness and bereavement.

This year, walkers can chose whether to donate their sponsorship to support the hospice in general or specifically the Kemp for Kids appeal, in association with The Shuttle.

Funds raised from the appeal will be used to support bereaved children and young people in Wyre Forest.

The popular event starts on the stroke of midnight on Saturday, June 22 and sees participants walk a circular, five-kilometer route of scenic forestry paths that is fully marshalled.

Registration costs £10 per person and any woman aged 12 and over may take part.

Kate Wilkinson, Kemp Hospice events fundraiser, said: “The midnight walk is an event we all look forward too. It’s really great to have everyone come out, have lots of fun and show their support for the Hospice.

“This year, walkers are able to contribute their sponsorship money directly to the Children’s Appeal if they wish. We raised a fantastic amount of money last year and would really love to beat it this year.”
