HUNDREDS of women painted the Wyre Forest pink when they joined the Kemp Hospice Midnight Walk.
The walk, which began at midnight last Saturday, saw women complete a circular 5km walk in bunny ears and cowboy hats to raise money for patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
More than £20,000 has been pledged in sponsorship by about 300 walkers with some specifically requesting that their money goes to Kemp’s Children’s Appeal to help bereaved children and their families.
Before setting off, the women joined in with a Zumba warm up with Sandra Todd and were entertained by Tom Campbell from local radio.
Kate Wilkinson, events fundraiser for Kemp Hospice, said: "This is a really special event and each year it reinforces what a fantastic community we belong to.
“More than £20,000 was pledged on the night in sponsorship and I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the walkers, marshals, the Forestry Commission and Western Power for making this event happen.”
