REGISTRATION is now open for Kemp Hospice's annual midnight walk through the Wyre Forest.

The women's only event, which will take place on Saturday, June 21, will see ladies walk along an atmospherically lit 5km route through the forest.

Registration is £10 per person and the event is open to all women aged 12 years and over.

Last year's walkers raised more than £25,000 for the hospice, which went towards providing free of charge support and specialist care to patients, families and carers dealing with life-limiting illness and bereavement.

Kemp Hospice needs to raise £940,000 annually to continue to provide these services, the majority of which comes from voluntary donations and the support of the local community.

Kemp events fundraiser, Kate Wilkinson said: “This walk is really special to everyone here at the hospice and we guarantee a fantastic evening of pre-walk entertainment care of Signal 107 radio presenter, Tom Campbell, who promises to look after all our ladies taking part.

“It’s a great night out for friends and family, work colleagues, or simply come along by yourself as there’s always somebody to walk with."
