Kidderminster Golf Club hosted the 15th annual KEMP Hospice Golf Tournament on Sunday 30th August 2009. The tournament being part of Kidderminster Golf Club’s centenary celebrations. Golfers from 6 Clubs took part in the competition with varying degrees of success, the results are as follows: Men’s competition: 1. Kidderminster 121 points 2, Wharton Park 112 points 3. Wyre Forest 111 points 4. Little Lakes 102 points 5. Habberley 92 points 6. Cleobury Mortimer 81 points The winning Kidderminster team was: Alan Stanyer (Club Captain), John Holt, Trevor Hatt, Kevin Woodham, Bill Smith, and Brian Longmore.

Richard Bannister Trophy (best men’s pair) was won by Bill Smith and Brian Longmore from Kidderminster Golf Club with 43 points.

Ladies Competition: 1. Little Lakes 105 points 2. Wharton Park 95 points 3. Wyre Forest 92 points 4. Cleobury Mortimer 90 points 5. Kidderminster 87 points 6. Habberley 66 points The winning Little Lakes team was: Ann Heaton (Lady Captain), Jude Sandell, Chris Yeomans, Marilyn Wood, Pauline Bayliss and Sarah Laker-Smith.

Dianne Bannister Trophy (best ladies pair) was won by Chris Yeomans and Sarah Laker-Smith from Little Lakes Golf Club with 35 points.
