Kidderminster & Severn & Teme Scouting Districts coupled with Kidderminster Guiding would like to thank the general public of Wyre Forest and surrounding areas for the generous support given to us at this years christmas supermarket bag packing.
A total of £15,813.24 was raised, which will assist groups in their general scouting activities during the year. Scouts from the 10th Kidderminster scout group (Cookley) were raising monies for next years camping trip to Brownsea island. Thank you for all the kind comments with the leaders, young people thoroughly enjoying this interaction with the local community.
A special thanks to Sainsbury's and Morrisons for as usual giving us excellent assistance and we hope everyone as benefited from the activities.
Kidderminster & District Scout co ordinator Mark Searl commented “Once again the scouting movement had a successful time working in the community offering local shoppers a service. In return much needed funds were raised and everyone’s been a winner. In particular it’s good for the young people to interact with the public.”
