Christmas is a busy time for Spennells Beavers,Cubs and Scouts.

Over 40 leaders, Scouts and Cubs helped pack customers shopping bags on Thursday 17th December at Morrisons and Sainsbury's supermarkets in Kidderminster. During their 3 hour session, they raised over £200 towards Group funds.

On Friday 18th, several leaders took part in the Xmas post sort at the Odell Centre and over the following weekend, Scouts delivered the cards to residents on the Spennells estate.

Our thanks go to Nightingale Chemist, Tangles Hairdressers and Heronswood School for their continued support of the Scout District Post.

Youngsters from the Scout section finish off the Scouting Xmas "work" with a final supermarket bag pack at Morrisons on Tuesday 22nd December from 6 pm till 9 pm. Funds from that session will go direct to the Scout section and help towards their annual camp in August next year.

Look out for our Scouts who will be wearing their sky blue neckers.

Beavers Scouts are unable to help at the post sort or bag packing but had a great time finishing their Christmas crafts on their last meeting on Thursday.

All sections return to Scouting in 2010 on Thursday 7th January 2010.

Scouters from KD9 on Spennells thank everybody for their support at Bag packing and the Xmas post and wish all residents a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous and safe New Year.
