Twelve Cubs and three leaders from KD9 Spennells Cub Pack braved their first camp of the New Year at Rhydd last weekend.
With temperatures just above freezing and the weather thankfully dry, the cubs had a great time over the weekend. It was a sixers and seconders camp for the older members of the Pack.
The youngsters prepared for the camp by deciding on their own menu and then visiting the local Tesco store to purchase the food.
They cooked a range of meals including a tasty curry for the Saturday evening. A highlight of the camp was a trip off camp to Wolf Mountain in Wolverhampton where the cubs had a great time at the refurbished climbing centre.
Leaders Paul and Bev were the but of humour when both got stuck in the caving experience!
Sunday morning was spent taking part in a 5 mile hike to Stourport and back before the camp ended after lunch.
It was a great weekend for the youngsters who had a super time on an unusal camping experience
