Eight Scouts and three Leaders from KD9 braved the sub zero temperatures at Rhydd Covert from 12th to 14th Feb.
Patrol Leaders and APL’s joined together for a series of activities that included a night hike, pioneering and a chip run but perhaps the hardest part of the camp was trying to spread butter on bread for sandwiches at breakfast & lunchtime. It was frozen for almost all of the day.
The youngsters also had a talk about and had a go at axe and saw use during the weekend thanks to help from Ian Dovey at KD1.
Everybody had a great time but were glad to get a warm bath when they got home
