The 10th Kidderminster Scout Group (Cookley) are celebrating 50 years of scouting in the village.
The Group hosted an enjoyable evening Thursday 11th October 2012 at the Cookley Scout Headquarters. It was great to see so many of the old scouts and cubs along with the scout leaders. The evening included a BBQ that went down very well, a celebration of our young people, displays past and present, the planting of a tree to commemorate the event. Each of the sections then entertained our guests. Group Chairman Pete Wilson said " I am very proud to be chairman during the 50th year of scouting, it was good to see so many old faces. We must keep scouting alive in the village for years to come".
