  Mountaineering Club – The club held its Christmas meet at Clapham in the Yorkshire Dales and was rewarded with the largest attendance for several years. Several expeditions were undertaken over the
  weekend, including both Ingleborough and Whernside. The ascent of Ingleborough was enhanced by a visit to the entrance of the huge pothole at Gaping Gill and by several sightings of red squirrels.
  Other walks undertaken included parts of the Dales Way, and the Ingleton Waterfall Walk.
