WI – November 5 was party time with members dressing up in costumes from the last nine decades to celebrate the WI’s 88th birthday and the 90th birthday of the national WI. There was a treasure hunt a ’guess the photo’ competition, a quiz and party games. The committee then served a 1970s supper and everyone had an individual birthday fairy cake.

LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY – In the autumn of 1651 Charles, Prince of Wales fled the country after his defeat at the Battle of Worcester. The route of the latter half of the future king’s escape to the Sussex coast is the subject of this month’s talk by Trevor Anthill.
