FIVE sheds in Cookley have been broken into in the space of a week.

In the first incident, in Castle Road, thieves gained entry to the shed by using bolt croppers to remove a padlock.

The thieves then stolen three bicycles and a hedge trimmer from inside.

The incident took place between 4pm on Friday, April 22, and 8.30am on Saturday, April 23, and the incident reference number is 0196S of April 23.

In the second incident, in Castle Road, the secure shed was broken into and a remote control car was stolen from inside.

This incident took place between 8pm on Friday, April 22, and 10am on Saturday, April 23, and the incident reference number is 0364S of April 24.

In the third incident, thieves have entered a shed in the same road by cutting off a lock and stole a number of tools from inside.

The incident took place between 7pm on Friday, April 22, and 8am on Saturday, April 23, and the incident reference number is 0264S of April 23.

The same day, lawn mower was stolen from a garden, also in Castle Road. A shed lock was broken off, but nothing was stolen from inside.

The incident took place between 10am on Saturday, April 23, and 9am on Tuesday, April 26, and the incident reference number is 0127S of April 26.

In the last incident, thieves have entered the shed, located in Elm Close, and have stolen a child's Hello Kitty bicycle from inside.

The incident took place between 1.15pm and 7pm on Tuesday, April 26, and the incident reference number is 0643S of April 26.
