A MUSICAL pantomime of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol is coming to Bewdley.
On Sunday, December 7, the Little English Theatre Company will be putting on a performance of the festive favourite at the town's museum.
The classical tale of Ebenezer Scrooge will be told in perfect pantomime style, with the help of some ghostly friends, even Scrooge may change his miserable, miserly ways.
Following the classic plot, the pantomime sees Scrooge awakened on Christmas Eve by spirits who reveal to him his own miserable existence, including what opportunities he wasted in his youth, his current cruelties, and the dire fate that awaits him if he does not change his ways.
Scrooge is faced with his own story of growing bitterness and meanness, and must decide what his own future will hold - death or redemption.
A unique mix of Christmas carols and musical performance combined with a healthy helping of laughter and a little audience participation is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
Wyre Forest District Councillor Anne Hingley, cabinet member for health, well-being and housing, said: “The tale of Ebenezer Scrooge reminds us of the importance and purpose of Christmas.
“This pantomime is a great way to engage and educate young audiences from across the district.”
Tickets to the show, which will run approximately between 1pm and 2.30pm, can be purchased from the Bewdley Museum shop, in the Sawyard, for £4.50 per child and will be on sale from Friday, November 28.
