BEWDLEY CIVIC SOCIETY: The first talk of the new Year was a return visit by Tim Porter, who this time gave a fascinating account of Owain Glyndwr, the Reluctant Rebel.Despite torrential rain over 90 people braved the weather to hear him. Our next talk is also a return visit, this time by local historian John Chester, who continues the Baldwin theme of his last appearance with Baldwin- a Reputation Restored. This is the society’s annual afternoon lecture and will be at 2.30pm in our usual venue, St George’s Hall, on Wednesday, February 17. As always non members are welcome to come along.
