BEWDLEY FLORAL ART: On February 1, the demonstrator was Jane Pugh with her title “Dance the night away”.

Her first arrangement was a bicycle made for two with variegated foliage, mimosa, yellow gerberas and daffodils with Jane singing along to music,her voice was beautiful.

A visit to Ireland came next with green Shamrock chrysanthemums and green carnations.

To depict war time songs she used a large basket with red roses,burgundy carnations,tulips and hypericum berries and again sang the old time favourites.

A very tall modern arrangement came next using curled aspidistra leaves, Aqua cerise roses, pink carnations, lizzyanthus.

Her last design was traditional in a stone urn with palms,delphiniums,agapanthus, mauve carnations and lilies.

The next meeting will be held at Wharton Park golf club on March 7, the Annual General Meeting will take place followed by a demonstration by Wendy Pitkin.
