BEWDLEY FLORAL ART: On July 4, the demonstrator for the evening was Ross Anwyl with her title, Shropshire Myths and Legends.
A hedgerow design was her first arrangement with sunflowers, snapdragons and foliage from the hedgerows while she talked about Mary Webb.A tale of a giant came next where he wanted to flood Shrewsbury and this resulted in the Wrekin (or so the legend goes) therefore green flowers were used in this arrangement. The legends of Shropshire were very interesting and the colours of her flowers fitted very well into these tales.We are a very busy club and our next meeting will be on September 5 at Wharton Park Golf Club when the demonstrator will be Susan Bradley with her title "Rhyme and reason".
