Resurfaced road: Stephen Clee outside Broome Village Hall. Resurfaced road: Stephen Clee outside Broome Village Hall.

THE main road through Broome has been resurfaced, thanks to a Chaddesley councillor.

Worcestershire County councillor, Stephen Clee secured county funding for the project.

He said: "The main village surface was in an appalling state. I arranged a meeting with the districts highways manager and between us we have secured the funding to resurface the carriageway.

"I would like to pay tribute to Broome Parish Council because they very generously agreed to help contribute towards the scheme.”

He added he was “delighted the works have been completed and with little disruption to residents”.
