The group enjoyed an informative evening when they visited the new Museum of Carpet in Kidderminster.

Volunteers from the museum were on hand, providing information about the history of the carpet industry in Kidderminster and how the museum came about. Volunteers also demonstrated the winding, the weaving looms and the picking used in the manufacturing process.

Refreshments were served during a talk and members were able to browse and buy in the shop and use the numerous interactive items in the museum.

This evening, there will be a visit to Monkland Cheese, near Leominster, with a coach leaving the village hall at 6pm. Supper and refreshments will be provided.
